Rev. John E. Girton, Jr. is senior servant of the historic Christ Missionary Baptist Church, and former executive director of the Indiana Healthy Marriage and Family Coalition, Inc. in Indianapolis, Indiana. The holder of BS and MA degrees from Ball State University and Martin University, “Pastor G” has utilized his expertise to establish brand marketing for such churches as Nashville’s historic Temple Baptist and Mt. Zion, Chicago and Atlanta’s New Beginnings, Colorado Springs’ Emmanuel Baptist and Washington D.C.’s Metropolitan Baptist. He has combined dual careers as an acclaimed public speaker for the organization Making It Count, offering messages of empowerment and inspiration to high school and college students, and being an entrepreneur through ownership of the Indianapolis based creative counseling and training firm Mass Media Group, Inc. A former Ball State Journalism and Telecommunication instructor, Pastor G’s also the founder of the UniteforChange.org movement. He has spearheaded such events as the 30-day Tent Campaigns to spotlight the problem of senseless violence, and unite various leaders across political, business and philanthropic lines to find solutions for positive change in Indianapolis. Married for 23 years to Lawanda Girton, Pastor G. also has an eighteen year-old daughter Faith, fifteen year old son Edwin Lee, and eleven year son Elijah Odell.
